I was part of OFV. Sad time for that country. I was on the USS Comstock and they put us ashore to help clean up and secure Subic and the Dependents of USAF and Navy were embarked and taken to Cebu. My Daughter was only 5 months old and I had taken one of her pink stuffed bunnies with me on Deployment. As we were getting off ship I saw a dependant getting on with her little girl. They had pretty much had to leave everything behind, so I gave the bunny to the little one. I hope she still has it.
