This is a story that has always fascinated me. It's hard to comprehend how many works of art were confiscated by the Nazis and how many are still unaccounted for. At least the Nazis knew what they had and tried to preserve them for their use as opposed to groups like Taliban and ISIS who simply destroy them.

SGT (Join to see) Probably! My Mother was a Registered Artist with the Kansas City Art Institute, I was Raised to Appreciate Art. Also I'm a Leitz (Part German Jew) How Many of these Pieces Were Stolen from My Family?

There is always hope. Recall a story, at least a year ago, about a family finally getting back artwork that Nazis had taken from them.
