It seems there are still pieces of art being found and still known surviving pieces of artwork that are still missing. The NAZIs were criminals at the highest levels: theft, brutality, and murder were their trademarks

This is a story that has always fascinated me. It's hard to comprehend how many works of art were confiscated by the Nazis and how many are still unaccounted for. At least the Nazis knew what they had and tried to preserve them for their use as opposed to groups like Taliban and ISIS who simply destroy them.
