Anyone with recent Marine Corps JROTC hiring experience willing to shed some light on the process?

I'm considering applying for a position teaching Marine Corps JROTC at a high school once I retire next year. Was hoping to get insight into the application and hiring process. For instance:
1. Once "certified" through TECOM, do you simply start communicating with schools with vacancies?
2. For the application there are essays. Are these essays meant to test your writing abilities and eloquence with the English language, or are they simply to get to know the candidate? Should the autobiography be focused on military service, or your life as a whole?
3. At what point were you able to attend training?
Thought I had more questions, but they've left me for now. Any other info offered would be helpful as well!

Nothing to add on the process, but best of luck. JROTC was one of the best things I did. I went through a NJROTC in San Antonio, with a USMC 1stSgt ANSI, and loved the program. I'm really glad it was available.

Although I am not currently serving as an Army JROTC instructor, I have been through the interview process four times. Each school will have different process, but the key to remember is that the school officials are selecting you. Your service only certifies that you are qualified. As far as any requirements such as an essay, I would just contact the school officials directly. You will find that school officials are generally WAY more laid back than us military types.
