Slotted to attent POAS in September and just wondering what I can be doing now to best set myself up for success. Already focused on rucking, running, and more rucking. But is there anything else I ought to be doing? Would it benefit me to review conventional skills (i.e. land nav, medical, etc.)?
Thanks in advance!

There is always the need to get ready for it - but understand that its just the first hurdle to cross when you want to be a 37. Start to think about the hurdles after that as your getting ready for it. Best thing about ruck training and running is you have that time to do some prep work by downloading some books and listening as you trainup. (as well as driving to work) Give yourself a little more understanding of some of the aspects of 37 you may not know much on. Cross Cultural communications, marketing, advertising, influence, planning, and even editing are all items you could add into your training itself. In PSYOP - a lot more weight is on your shoulders to learn inside all those aspects through out the rest of your career - so use your train up time to start building your knowledge.

Be a team player not an officer. Lead when you are the leader of an event, mentor the leader of an event of that Soldier looks lost . No land nav, patrols or medical stuff.

Keep up with current events and be vocal/participate in every discussion. Everyone gets treated the same as there is no rank or names, just your number identifier. Good luck sir.
