I have zero sympathy right now for the Turks. No one trusts them or wants to invest there

I'm the same as you and it hurts. The Turks were great people and I made many local friends during my year there, so seeing them fall from what the country was in the 80s to what it is now is a big disappointment.

have y’all heard about Turks attempting to occupy some of the small’ less prominent Greek islands? Not sure I read the press release right, it was a translated version of an op ed from Greece and a blurb from a Turkish news article
