When in ready position for the snap, know whether it is a running play or passing play. Running plays are when you run block, like when you drive the defense to make a hole. Pass blocking is when you stay at the line and keep the opponent from getting to the quarterback. On a play-action pass play, there is a fake run, so fire off as if run blocking but don't go down field.

Look at your man. Keep your head up.

If run blocking, place your hands on the guy's chest and square your chest to the direction you want to move him to. Roll through with your hips. Drive with your feet and try to make him go back. Do not stop moving your feet.

If pass blocking, take the foot of the direction you want to go in (Tackles this is usually the outside foot) and quickly step back, then slide the second foot back to about hip width (this is called a kick-slide). Keep your hands in front of your chest and punch with the base of your palms.

When the play is over, stop blocking and get back into huddle.

Second? 1LT Scott Doyle I am going to take that as a challenge. For the record, I was trying to answer the question as best as I could.
