I have re enlisted into the Active duty army on a conditional release from the army national guard. prior 11b, now reclassing to 88m, what do I take to AIT? Do I take all my uniforms and duffel bags or do I show up with nothing and get everything issued again?

You'll be required to bring what the other basic trainees are bringing, which is your initial issue clothing bag.

SSG Steven Borders I'm pretty sure they still do this. The prior service had separate barracks when I went in 98 and when I was a prior service in 2006. TRADOC commands are pretty aggressive about IET to Prior Service fraternization

SFC (Join to see) - That's what I thought. Don't want to corrupt the new troops. LOL

Haha it has changed, everyone now stay in the same barracks; they will only match prior service soldiers together to be in the same room.

I saw some prior service guy complaining bout it but the PSGs told them that’s the way it has been for a while now.

SGT (Join to see) every school makes their own rules. When i was a 68W reclass there were 6 companies of 68W. Most of the prior service were separated, but one company mixed all their PS into the same barracks right in the training bays. Most TRADOC Commanders won't allow that though because of the risk of fraternization.

I went in the other direction: Active Duty 11B to Reserve 88M 29 day reclass (not AIT), and my new unit's training NCOIC gave me the packing list, and it was pretty much everything: TA-50, civies, 4 sets uniform, toiletries, etc.

Seems odd no one got you the packing list yet, but maybe that's because our reclass experiences are different.

Good luck!

All of your uniforms (unless you bought them yourself) are the property of your Guard Unit's state command. If they didn't ask for them back, take them with you. But you will be issued a whole new set when you report for in-processing.
