Mexico is a corrupt crap hole and so hypocritical. They whine about the US enforcing its borders and deporting illegals, yet it is one of the most dangerous countries to be an illegal in. People traveling through Mexico from central and South America are routinely robbed and beaten by the police and government officials.
They aren't even deported in many cases, just robbed and set lose to survive anyway they can. Between the petty criminals, Cartels and corrupt Government these people are raped, beaten, robbed and murdered daily.
Somehow they have the nerve to blame it on the US.

Not to negate your statement at all 1stSgt, I agree with you but you didn't go far enough. The citizens of our southern neighbor are not too much better off than the migrants trying to reach the USA. They live is squalor, have little in the way of possessions, poor food and very poor health care. The only Mexican citizens to legally live fairly well are those involved in the tourist industry. My brother-in-law has property down there and has to employ excessive secutiry measures to protect the property and themselves.

PO1 Robert Johnson - My wife is a resident alien, and still a Mexican Citizen even though shes lived in the US for over 50 years. For a while we contemplated moving there after my retirement because the cost of living is so low. There are communities of Expatriates in Mexico. Even without health issues that sprouted up I think that we decided to not take out chances there.
Pretty much any time anyone in the least bit of power finds out you have something there, they want in on it. We had thought of building a home there with room to take in orphans and hire a small staff to help us raise them, but its just too dangerous.
