I just have a quick question for you all. Im in the Navy reserve and Im wondering if its possible to make E9 in the reserves without being in a full time capacity? I only ask because Im curious how a reserve billet works for a rank like that, thank you!

My entire career was Army Reserve, I got SGM. Just need to be in the right place at the right time.

Of course it is. There are plenty of folks that do it. My dad did.

It's a great question. I think it depends on how hard you want to work for it. Be that guy willing to take the hard jobs and be the one willing to go to every school opportunity.
You may have a harder row to hoe being prior service different service. It may require more years of service as well.
