Remember those books you hated in high school? For me the worst was The Great Gatsby. Seemed like I wrestled with that one for half of forever and hated every minute. Found a copy at a garage sale for a nickle, and was very surprised at how small it is. It only took about 4 hours to read over the last two days, and it is a great little book.
If you're like me and totally tired of TV and movies and whatnot in the never ending covid jail, you might want to revisit some of those classics we all hated back when. They were picked for a reason, and the reason is they are quite good. Beats watching The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly yet again.

Definitely Agree 1SG Steven Imerman!
‘Those’ books which didn’t really thrill us at the time are more relevant today than ever before! Most of the ‘classics’ I read in HS and college have been banned! This might account for some of the ignorance being displayed today...just my two cents

Huck Finn is banned for language, yet it is a powerful story of a boy raised in a racist society who transcended his background to befriend a runaway slave. The book banners are idiots.

Sad that "educators" of the woke left will ban a book without ever really understanding that book.

I think the schools picked the books knowing we would wake up in our own drool before the 3rd chapter.

Could be. The problem seems to be that the English curriculum is developed by people with a PhD in English lit, and they include all the stuff they would have liked to read in H.S., not thinking that most kids are in no way inclined nor suited to that reading material. The same holds for science, social studies, and math. Our education system has been "experted" nearly to death.

Well, on the bright side, the bad may have been a quite a bit of fun.
Old joke- Good girls go to Heaven, but bad girls get to go everywhere.
Old Joke 2- Why is Santa so jolly? He knows where all the bad girls live.
