Ironically, this morning, as I ate the last of my wife's strawberry shortcake- I was reading up on all the pre-things I have to do for the MOVE program. Like take down your weight height measurements and I added taking pictures from the front back side as “before” pictures. Oh dear, talk about being slapped in the face by reality. It is very difficult to ignore the numbers. And then to add pictures. Yikes

Just how strong was my self-esteem to ignore that. I would’ve posted one of the pictures, but I don’t wanna ruin anybody’s breakfast, change anybody’s sexual orientation, or be made aware that everybody else already knew what I looked like. Lol.

The good news is it didn’t depress me at all. It just added to the fuel of getting healthy again. Like all of us I was a strong young person. Heck, I served in the army for years decades and never got fat. I had to move away from discipline before I became undisciplined. The other thing is I still move around a lot considering the arthritis and stuff that old age has granted me. But I don’t sit a lot so I have one thing in my favor going into this. on the other hand, donuts, pizza and Pepsi still exist – waiting for an impulse. There I have a lot of work to do. But it should be fun and I can’t wait to see the after pictures.

Two more weeks till the official start date and maybe I can get a Headstart.

close
