Well, once again, I find myself having to explain that not everything you see or hear...is true. Or even close to the truth. My next door neighbor wanted me to watch a video of a Gorilla beating up a tiger. She thought it was real.
Nope.
It was all AI. So I spent a little time with her showing the "mistakes" in the videos.
"But they look so real!"
I then showed her that there isn't a single documented case of a real fight between a Gorilla and a Tiger. And that Zoo's don't keep them anywhere near each other. She was very sad.
So was I for a very different reason.
It is so easy to deceive nowadays...and getting easier. And not just with Video.
The Music Industry is awash with AI abuse. And most stars, in concert, use autotune and pitch correct ...even when they don't want to. As the industry standard processes everything, even when "live".
So she asked me:
"How do you know what is real?'
I thought that was a good question.
My flippant answer would be to use critical thinking skills.
But who gets taught those skills in today's world?
Information is flowing too fast for us to take the time to ponder. And by the time one event happens, everyone gets outraged, folks start to question, but already that is "yesterday's news."
And with AI Propaganda and some of the smartest people in the Field trying to alter your views , or beliefs, it is difficult to sort through to find even a semblance of Truth.
Even smart people are now just pawns.
So yeah...No.
Gorillas do not beat Tiger's to death to rescue their young. And the Earth is not Flat. And she wondered about that...too. Sigh.
