Butttt. time and time again the media (and a few really confused folks here on RP) have stated fanatically , the "good guy with a gun" is a myth..
So tell us gun control advocates, how many good guys with a gun stopping a threat will it take to cause you to admit your wrong?

What a farce...LEOs' were there only later to take a report...it was a customer going against company policy that saved your barista

SGM Erik Marquez, this weekend I was visiting a friend who lives in a very remote area of Tennessee, along the Tennessee River (near I-40). Although the area is beautiful and the fishing is good, it’s in Perry County, where methamphetamine production is prolific. If you’re not carrying in that area of the country, you might be the only one.

Good to see that the young lady was okay. Good to see the shooter probably won't face charges, but still, in many places, they refuse to recognize the defensive use of firearms.
I keep hearing the pro gun control folks asking for common sense gun laws, why? We have more than enough gun laws on the books as it is; if they are not enforced, how will more gun laws help?
I keep hearing arguements about stand your ground laws. Trust me, if at all possible I will try to get out of a situation rather than stand there. But, that is not always possible. Sorry, I'm too old to fight someone and too slow to run. I guess you can figure out my next course of action.
The biggest thing for me is to try to avoid situations where I might have to use my firearm. Just my weekend 2nd Amendment rant.

We DON'T have more than enough gun laws on the books. When in some states you can sale weapons with minimal information, or no record, that's a problem. In Idaho you can get away with not declaring change or ownership between private parties.. you can always claim you lost/misplaced the weapon

Sgt Jesus Rodriguez so I quest you would require every gun transaction to go through someone with an FFL. So even if you are leaving weapons to your kids, each firearm has too go through a full background check and FFL.
Let's see, that takes care of all the law abiding gun owners; what about the criminals? What, they don't follow the laws. What about the military, they are supposed to report all bad conduct discharges, yet we find out they don't.
Sorry, I don't buy your premise that we don't have enough gun laws.
When I sold a firearm privately, I required a driver's license and a weapons carry license. The same as if I bought or sold from a FFL holder.
