There is an 05/06 AGR Involuntary Reduction Board that takes place in the 3D quarter. I don’t expect to be selected for involuntary separation since I am between 18-20 years of AFS. My question is if selected my 20 years of AFS is 1Aug2023 however to have three years TIG is 4 months later 1Dec23. My question if involuntary separated do they waive the min TIG as they do for Reserve TPU Soldiers. There waiver is min TIG of 24 months of LTC for involuntary separation. Been looking at Regulations but can’t find exactly what I am looking for and want to be better safe than sorry. For apparent reasons I want to be informed as much as possible. Thx for any insight.

You should look at the promotion regulation instead of the retirement regulation, it should be in there. Your rank SRR falls under force shaping initiatives, so it should meet the requirements for an exception.

For instance, if you transfer your GI Bill but can't meet the four years because of a force shaping tool like this board, it meets the ETP. But if you're separated for a purpose of not meet g quality (like a QMP board, or being passed over and refusing to accept SELCON) then you don't get the ETP

I was promoted during stop lose and had to retire at the lower grade.

Can’t edit it. Not a Reduction board but REFRAD board.
