Is it true that there is a new MILPER out that states that AGR promotion from E4 to E5, and E5 to E6 don’t need board appearance, as long as they meet PME and TIS/TIG requirements ?

As I recall, AGR promotions are done via centralized promotion board, like senior NCO promotions in the active component.
So you put together a promotion packet and it is viewed and you are ranked from best qualified to least qualified among your peers.

I’d like to know too because I’m AGR and I’m told I have to do a board so if this is the case that’s a huge relief. But I’ll look into it as well.

I'm graduating in a few week from ALC, the only task left for me is the board appearance, but some E7 NCO who is a 42A AGR told me yesterday that as per the new MILPER, AGR's junior NCO's don't have to appear in front of the board. I asked him to send me the MILPER, he hasn't sent yet. I'm searching on the HRC portal for MILPER, don't see it yet.
