A warm winter and lingering drought could set up a tough growing season in the Midwest

With the change in climate I'm going to be able to grow tomatoes year round here in West Texas.

Hope not but could be . . . huge concern everywhere
With not only warm, but hot weather so early in the year during winter, is it a precursor to an worse summer for record breaing heat, than last year? Or perhaps it will be the opposite.
Last year in February the temperature in this neck of the woods (ABQ NM) was in the 20s during the day, many days in a row. Didn't get close to 20s any day this winter.
