APOD: 2025 January 5 – Rocket Launch as Seen from the International Space Station

Good afternoon, Rallypoint, and welcome to the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) for January 5, 2025.
Maybe we should call this the AVOD (Astronomy Video of the Day)...this 1:37 timelapse video clip shows the November 2018 launch of Progress MS-10 as viewed from the International Space Station (ISS). There is only so much you can see from the ground (although that in and of itself is impressive). The video is annotated so you can follow events after launch as they unfold.

COOL !~~ Somewhat A Long Distance
But It Sure Was Fun Watching It Shoot Through Space.

That is really Star Wars-ish. Like the scenes of taking off from Mos Eisley.
