Good evening, Rallypoint, and welcome to this edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) for March 24, 2025.
Or should I say AVOD (Astronomy Video of the Day)? Either way, today's 8-second timelapse clip is something unique (you've got to visit the APOD home page to see it). The clip answers the question "what does a lunar eclipse look like?" Taken in Uruguay during last week's total eclipse, it is phenomenal to watch the stars pop out as the Moon goes dark. Enjoy.
