As of 8 am this morning, after 11 weeks of boot camp in Parris Island, my son earned the title of United States Marine and received the Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem. He will now forever be one of the few and the proud - the elite! I couldn’t be more proud and wanted to share with my RP family! Proud MOM! Semper Fidelis!

Congrats to your son for this achievement. Have you noticed any difference in his attitude, actions and/or demeanor? Like only being in the shower for 2-3 minutes etc.

He is still at bootcamp for another two weeks, but I have read on those changes. His letters have been super positive and determined so if that is any indication on his change, I am really looking forward to seeing my “new” son.

Ok, now that he had been home for a few days, I have noticed that he is extremely observant and he is disciplined with his time. I see a very confident man, where there once stood a boy in just 13 short weeks! Incredible transformation! So proud!! Semper Fi!
