I was born and raised in England, Emigrated in 2008 aged 21, and joined the Marine Corps in 2011 three years later and received my American citizenship in 2013. Anybody out there with a similar story?

If you are now a US citizen, I woudn't consider you a "Foreign National." FN's are guests in our country with permission to be here. I'd consider you in the same category as me: A "Naturalized Citizen." You don't need to have permission to be here because you are an American now. Period.
But yeah, I was born in Manila, Philippines. Immigrated ('Merican spelling... ;o) ) to the US in 1974 from the Philippines when I was 2. Became a US Citizen through my parents in 1980 when I was 8.

I did fly with another Brit that was a Corpsman/Medic on a C-9 Nightingale Flight. So you are not unheard of Shipmate. Me, I was Born and Raised in the US but in my Chosen Profession as a Navy Spook/Spy there is little Separation between us and our "Cousins" UK, NZ, CAN, AUS. One of my Division Officers was a Royal Navy LT. I did a Tour in London and Diego Garcia BIOT and was spoiled rotten in both locations.
