CPT Jack Durish My friend’s uncle, a Packard salesman, allowed Frank to drive his sample Packard. I seem to recall that Frank shifted the automatic transmission into reverse while driving down the street with no harm done to the car.

You could do that with a Nash/Rambler. Something about a safety pressure relief value that I can't remember clearly. My own favorite experiment was shifting a car into Park while still moving. Don't recommend it...

I almost took a picture of one I saw in Edmonton two weeks ago but it did not look very nice. Paint was faded.

CPT Jack Durish My Dad had an older Packard... the back seat was (seemed) huge... held 4 boys with my sister riding up front.
