Of course you all remember the phenomenal Roy Orbison from years ago... He had such a wide vocal range! It was amazing to say the least! I am closing out with at least one of his songs and the one I chose to include is "In Dreams" from "Black & White Night 30"
Backgrounder:
"Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician known for his impassioned singing style, complex song structures, and dark, emotional ballads. His music was described by critics as operatic, earning him the nicknames "the Caruso of Rock" and "the Big O". Many of his songs conveyed vulnerability at a time when most male rock-and-roll performers chose to project defiant masculinity. He was known for his shyness and stage fright, countering these by wearing dark sunglasses." Read more at Wikipedia.com
LYRICS:
"In Dreams"
A candy-colored clown they call the sandman
Tiptoes to my room every night
Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper
"Go to sleep. Everything is all right."
I close my eyes, Then I drift away
Into the magic night. I softly say
A silent prayer like dreamers do.
Then I fall asleep to dream My dreams of you.
In dreams I walk with you. In dreams I talk to you.
In dreams you're mine. All of the time we're together
In dreams, In dreams.
But just before the dawn, I awake and find you gone.
I can't help it, I can't help it, if I cry.
I remember that you said goodbye.
It's too bad that all these things, Can only happen in my dreams
Only in dreams In beautiful dreams.

Sgt (Join to see) I was a senior in High school when Roy's music was what all the teens loved... He was without a doubt one of the best singers of my teen years! To this day when I hear him sing, I crank it up!
