As a Soldier I pull hard for Army every year at this annual rivalry game. We always seem to struggle. All jokes aside, why is that? Why does Navy seem to have a grip on this game? Okay armchair quarterbacks in uniform, here is your chance to weigh in on this military gridiron rivalry. What strategies would you use to help Army beat Navy? They tried changing the nickname of the team this year. Somehow I don't think that will work. Political correctness won't win a football game. But I'm hopeful. Lord knows I'm always hopeful. But what is it about a team of sailors that more often beats a team of soldiers in a football game? What are your theories? What are your strategies? And what is the strangest bet you have ever lost on this game? Have fun, "Coach." Give us your insight. Give us your plan.....

First, these are not Sailors and Soldiers they are Midshipmen and Cadets.
Secondlly, I don't know what it will take short of Kennan Reynolds and most of the other skill position players getting a horrible virus before the game. The talent gap is there, and it goes back to hiring an up and coming coach that you are willing to stick with. Paul Johnson was just that, and when he left they turned to his protege in Niamatalola (sp). Who has Army hired that has been worth thier salt in the last decade and a half? NO ONE! It starts there. Once that is done, maybe we will have a team that can break the streak.

The answer is a simple one. How to do it not so simple.

To beat Navy just score more points than they do.
