Looks like we're doomed to repeat the past. Ted Cruz is on the rampage again supporting another government shutdown. We apparently forget things that happened just 2 years ago and the affects it had. The last shutdown was a pain in the butt and cost us more in time/money after the fact to fix everything affected by the shutdown for almost 2 weeks. Now I'm a government civilian this time (vs. active duty last time).

They are just playing with people's lives again for some political grandstanding and nothing more. I'm going to be one pissed off government employee if I have to deal with another shutdown.
1 - we've got important stuff that needs to happen in Oct on our program,
2 - operating without an actual budget every freaking year is getting REALLY old, and
3 - I like to get paid

It's always those who won't feel the pain making those who will really feel it. I know Cruz is the mastermind of the last one and possibly this one, but Politicians across the board need to feel the SAME burn we do when bills aren't paid or late (yes I know that you should have a savings, but that does not matter), can't send kids to childcare and various other problems that will hit the common person. I do not care when they say They won't take pay when we won't. My check is nowhere near what theirs is. By the time they said it before folks were already hurting, and more than one said they wouldn't do it. I hope cooler and smarter minds prevail across the isle and this doesn't happen.

When you have a presidency that refuses to obey laws and reinterprets the constitution, perhaps it's time for dramatic takes, The vast majority of the financial losses from the 17% shutdown, were due to the "make it hurt policy" the executive branch took. (paying guards to keep people out of the WW2 memorial, WTF Over) I am a federal civilian and support Cruz, it's about time we fixed our budget problems. (better keep up your savings account if you are a federal civilian)

It was the Harry Ried Obama government shut down. It was not Ted Cruz who pad locked the WWII memorial. And with Obama it is my way or the highway. I don't know why they bother. I don't think Harry Ried submitted a budget in six years when he was the majority leader. Let Obama do another executive order. He did it to negotiate a treaty. By just calling it an agreement.
