There are so many scams and outright lies You have to be careful about what You even open. Between false, unverified information or attempts to steal from You or support outright fraud You just can't be too careful. Often its better not to even open or look at anything that may be questionable which is a good part of what We find on the computer.

Good advice. I do my best to screen and I have warned my neighbor who has been taken in by a scammer once already
