Yep, cutting taxes, regulations and restoring more freedom to the people echos soviet style government. Or is it that we have had a string of beta males in office for years and Russia has always had Alpha males, Trump also being one who stands strong and fights? This strength being misconstrued as soviet like versus actual policy and actions????

SrA John Monette I mean, it’s a philosophical debate at best lol. I think the term alpha has become completely meaningless because of the prevalence of juiced up gymbros self applying the label. Being the alpha isn’t about dominance, it’s about leadership.

SFC Thomas Foreman - the watering down of the term doesn't make you any less correct.

The Nazi and Soviet comparisons are really silly. I have a tire swing and some tractor tires for my grandkids to play on. I suppose if CNN did a human interest story on it, they'd say I have built a"Disneyworld" level amusement park.

In true Progressive Socialist fashion the author accuses President Trump taking actions that our Progressive Socialist Democrats actually perform. One needs look no further then the Impeachment Hearings... most of which were performed in secret with absolutely no due process. This article is proof that you can take the person out of the socialist country, but you can’t take the socialist country out of the person (most of the time). This article is nothing but yellow journalism.

SFC (Join to see) ...just as you seem to brush off anything else that doesn’t immediately and wholly confirm to your narrow world view.

You’re obviously an intelligent guy, you word your posts well and follow your own train of thought consistently. I just don’t understand how you can be so foot-stamping stubborn that your guy is right regardless of anything anyone else says.

SFC Thomas Foreman - I'm not saying he's perfect, I'm saying he's better than anything else we have out there right now... while staying true to the principles that made, and keep making our Country great. We have too many out there right now who are trying to teach that ours is an immoral Country. Never in the history of the world has a country been so powerful, and used it for the overall good of the world. I didn't make that up I heard it somewhere, but think about how true it is. Stay true to our principles, stay with who brought you to the dance. I don't have a narrow world view, no one who's traveled around the world the way we have can have a narrow view.

SFC (Join to see) I take a slightly more critical view, allowing for both that we are an exceptional nation and that we’ve done immoral things. I minored in Latin American history and that’s...painfully clear to me.

I very much dispute that (what I am interpreting as) your idea that military members can’t have a narrow world view. Our profession has not historically fostered critical thought anywhere beyond a tactical level. I am deeply concerned about the seeming disdain many of our soldiers seem to have for the population they serve and the willingness to isolate themselves from that population in favor of only ever having to listen to their own viewpoints...but in the interest of brevity that’s a discussion for another time and I have a Christmas tree to put up.

SFC Thomas Foreman - As I was writing my response to you before “I was thinking” of some of the soldiers I served with who don’t have the critical thinking I speak of, but it is wrong to speak in absolutes; I believe many more of us who lived in foreign countries the way we do see how the governments work and see the good… and the bad of them. I’ve traveled extensively in the Caribbean and love it’s peoples. While traveling there I learned from their people how mistreated they were because of some US policies, one policy would be the destroying of the sugar cane industry when we were giving the business to the our new 50th State. I dare say that the US is also responsible for much good that occurred in the region, I won’t get off in the weeds. The reason I make the point is to show there is good and bad on all sides. What I say is that overall our Country has done much more good than bad in the world. The segment of our society that now openly advocates for our Country to become a Socialist Nation brings rage to me, and rightfully so. I lost family in WW II, where we had to fight to the death, the evils of Socialism… yes, I said evils. Whoever thinks they can make Socialism work without recreating that evil is a child who doesn’t know what they are talking about. Enter all the people who are trying to erase history and create safe zones so people don’t have to deal with real issues. I digress. I do not worry about our Brothers in Arms; I must admit some of the Progressive Socialists I encounter on RP do worry me, but they seem to be in the minority.

What is happening in our Country right now? It simple, we don’t have a peaceful transition of power anymore. The Progressive Socialists (Democrats and Republicans) for lack of a better term, have been making progress in out Country for the last +60years. The good natured Conservatives let them be as long as they were camouflaged enough. I guess after all the lives we lost defeating Socialism and Communism we didn’t want to believe anyone would be foolish enough to embrace it. We were wrong. Well: after 20 years of New Order Presidents, and then 8 years of BHO, these Progressive Socialists believed they were in the majority, and their masks came off. They can’t believe they lost the 2016 Election, and will not accept President Trump, that is plain and clear. In the past +3 years they have proved they will ruin anyone they believe threatens their way, by lies or by force. The cities who turn a blind eye to the radical groups like BLM and Antifa will eventually destroy their cities with hate and physical violence. The Socialist Progressives love these groups. I don’t know where it will all end, but it won’t be good. A just society can’t allow this hate and violence to exist, and expect to survive itself. I worry for our Country and my family. At my age: I pray for peace, and I will speak common sense to anyone who will listen. Sorry for being ling winded, sometimes I just go on and on. :)
