As a legal battle begins to brew over whether the 14th Amendment disqualifies Donald Trump from the 2024 presidential election because of Jan. 6 -- which would mark an unprecedented and controversial development -- ABC News recently spoke with the one politician who has been removed from office under that same argument.
Former Otero County, New Mexico, Commissioner Couy Griffin was disqualified almost exactly a year ago after Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW) sued to eject him from his role under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel This will be very interesting. Personally I wish another Republican was the front leader for the nomination however, if the only real choice is Trump or Biden I'll have to go with Trump. If a independent had a prayer or a chance to win I'd go that route most likely.

Cpl Vic Burk I would cast my dice on Chris Christy. Trump is a joke and a moron. I can't in good faith support such a person who would in private call people like us "suckers" and "losers", yet pretend to "stand" for us. I can't follow nor support anyone who is a fake patriot, or forces any sort of "patriotism" on others. I cannot support anyone who claims to "know" more than others, yet clearly doesn't have a grasp on anything in that subject. At this point, trump isn't the "lesser" of two evils. He has a cult following, who would probably die for the man in needed. Biden is not great. I am not a fan of him either, but I find it funny how right wingers blame every single thing on the man, and yet a lot of those things are pushed by other folks. He is just the prez and a figurehead. He definitely isn't some "communist" despot as if he was, you wouldn't be here criticizing him. None of the maga people would be around. Trump would of been done if he would of been a despot I am sure, but yet here we are. Trump is still crying about losing to the old man like the frail child he is, the maga people foaming at the mouth over stupid things, and people like you backing that dingus when there are alternatives, but you want a "strong man", yet the man isn't that either.

PFC Joseph Eggy - I'm not a fan of Trump either but sorry, he is the lesser of two evil. I would welcome another front runner of the republican party but I don't see that happening, not right now anyways. As for who blames who? The democrat party continues to blame Trump for all there problems. IF, Biden was any kind of president he would cast this aside and do his own agenda but he isn't coherent enough to do this. The sooner the liberal accept this as fact the sooner this country can get back on the right track. The only decent republican party contestant was Tim Scott and he withdrew from the race. You may be a cult following of Biden but I'm not of Trump or Biden. I wish there was another choice.
