<P>Having worked for Gen Welsh, my opinion might be a little biased so I would like to get an RP perspective on Gen Welsh's challenge to the Air Force. I, for one, am one of the few that maintains a moustache (within regs) year round. There have also been numerous posts about the mixed message that the CSAF sends by promoting what constitutes a defiance of regulations. There have also been comments on how it's good for moral and lastly that it's sexist. RP, what is your take, and is this type of thing prevalent in the other services?</P>

In my personal opinion.....if they would write a waiver to be non-compliant with the regs for the month of march, would be fun. otherwise.....waste of my time. I have worn one for my entire military career....within the regs.

I have never seen anything lie this in the Army. I dont see an issue with the idea of the competition but i can see it being an issue because so few know how to wear a moustache that is in compliance with the regs.
