I have been in for almost 13 years I had been issued and worn BDU, DCU, ACU, OCP, OCPII, IPFU, APFU, Greens & Blues. I agree the pinks and greens are a sharp looking uniform that is iconic with the "greatest" generation. But here is an idea, stop changing uniforms. Every time we change the uniforms we change the equipment, that adds on cost. We can use that cost instead to train our fighting force.

We now have OCPII that we have to get all the field gear to match. The ASU that now everyone has that was a job to get the reserves and national guard fully uniformed. Then there is the new APFU that is like the OCPII still being fielded to reserves and national guard. Again I like the look of the pinks and greens especially with the Ike jacket I have two at home that has been passed down to me. But now is really not the time for another uniform change.

SFC William Farrell - I have a feeling there is a little to no relation with her. The Sorensen last name is Scandinavian and the names are based on the fathers first name and sex of the child. Example Peter had a son and daughter. The sons last name would be Petersen (Peterson) and the daughters would be Peterdauter. The name Soren is derived from that of the 4th-century Christian saint Severin of Cologne.

Doesn't army leadership have better things to do, like perhaps play golf? at least the look is more modern that the Civil war look of today.

SFC William Farrell - Golk f is a AF specialty, but W the USAF course sure seem to have a lot of Army brass playing on them when they are nearby. They tend to get in a snit when they find out that their rank does not give them priority over a E -3 on the course, unless they have stars that is.

The Army got rid of the WWII pinks and greens (only officers wore them, enlisted wore green only) because so many millions of discharged vets were wear them as civilians in one form or another. The all green replacement was so-so. I hope all the changes end!
