Do you think that perhaps, just maybe, they realize that President Trump was correct? That if they (our NATO Allies) are unconcerned and won't meet their treaty obligations, we should share their beliefs and spending habits.

Former President Trump encouraged Russia to attack Europe. GDP by country in NATO was a deflection.

LTC Eugene Chu - Were those countries in compliance with the requirements of the NATO treaty? How long had it been since they were in compliance? If those nations will not spend 2% of their GDP on their own defense, why should we spend the blood of our citizen's. In addition, those countries hosting our troops on their soil reap additional economic benefit from the presence of our troops and installations. He should not have said what he said, but it was hyperbole. What he should have done was give our NATO allies notice, "Come into compliance with the treaty or we will remove our troops, close our installations and we won't be back unless war breaks out or you foot the bill for our departure, our return and the re-opening of our installations."

The persons who invited Russia to get imperial aspirations was President Obama and then VP Biden. Actions or lack thereof speak far louder than words.
