The Army doesn’t know why junior officers are leaving

The top reasons to leave seems to be consistent but mixed depending on the commissioning source. It also appears the overall value of a commission at least on the Reserve side is decreasing and the separation reasons in the article further subtract from the value. What is your opinion?

Are not most Os still Obligated Volunteers today? That was the case in my day. They did their two years and left AD and went on with their lives. These were commissioned as Reserve Officers in the Army of the United States. Those with USA commissions, the minority, usually stayed. If they all stayed, there would be too many LTs.
