Regardless...it doesn't make them more efficient. It makes them less efficient and more expensive.

The manufacturers say the changes will result in people having to run multiple cycles to get the same results as they had before from running the machine once...using more energy and water.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Plus the changes indetergent. We switched backto powder vers the pods. I kept having to clean my washer by taking ut the drum...after a while it just wore it out. I asked my appliance guy what the deal was. He asked me if we used pods, liquid, or powder. I said pods. He showed me a bag with some goo in it and is ased if that is what looked like what wa sin your washer...I said yep he said the pods are made with animal fat to gel them up...when you wash, the soap dissipates and then the animal fat dispenses out with the water and settles on the out side of the drum. Same iwth liquid detergents. The powder is straight soap and cleans better and goes out withthe water. We have had out washingmachine three years now and have not had one issue since we switched back. This new initiative is horse manure and Bidenneeds to focus on bigger things.
