To me, "Justifiable need" means you've already escaped one attempt to injure or kill you. No person should have to prove there's already been an attempt on their life, because in most cases you don't get a 2nd chance.

It should be the burden of the state to show "justifiable need" for their legal harassment of their citizens.
New Jersey and the other 7 "may issue" CCW states should have that unconstitutional "I'll let you carry a gun if I think you need it" form of law wiped off the books.

Concur. Article presented the argument well. I read the separate brief filed by the 22 state AGs, and agree that it's time for the Supreme Court to rule on this issue.
