The F/A-18 Hornet was conducting routine operations when it "experienced a mechanical issue" that forced the two crew to eject, the US 7th Fleet said.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Life on a Carrier is dangerous, and what these aircraft do is dangerous. I am sure they will find out what happened with a safety stand-down in both cases with this carrier. I have doubts that the two incidents were related.
