In the spirit, one of my favorite stories about a President involved Calvin Coolidge who was famous, even infamous, for his taciturn nature. Seems a particularly gregarious and not unattractive young lady was purposefully seated next to the President at White House dinner with the mission of drawing him out. Purportedly, the lady's opening remark to President Coolidge was, "Well Mr President, your good friend (so in so) bet me $50 that I couldn't get more than two words out of you." The President responded with a simple, "You lose." Just thought I'd share that one.
