On Friday, June 25th, two troopers from the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit and three medical staff members from University Hospital rescued two jet-skiers who were stranded in a muddy, marshy area in Sea Isle, N.J. At approximately 3:00 p.m., troopers from the Marine Services Bureau were dispatched to the report of two stranded jet-skiers in a marsh in Sea Isle.
Troopers from the Marine Bureau were unable to get to the stranded jet-skiers due to the receeding tide, so they requested assistance from the Aviation Unit. A short time later, the pilots, Sergeant Jeffrey Dipple and Trooper I James Baranyay, along with University Hospital Flight Nurse Richard Harris, Flight Nurse Ryan Paynter, and Flight Paramedic Tracy Connellan arrived to assist with the rescue.
