A sad memory, but fits the post. I was going up to Cleveland to visit Family. I called the day before I left NC, to ask what - if any- plans various relatives had for my visit. I was talking with my brother Johnny, and in the background I heard my Sister Jane. She and I are "Irish Twins" As she was born in 1950, and I was born in September of 1951. So we were always close, and really good friends.
So Johnny yells to her: "Hey Jane, want to talk to Kevin?"
She said: "No, I will see him tomorrow. And tell him he better take me to lunch!"
We all laughed.
The next day she died of a massive heart attack after watching her grandkids. I never took her to lunch. And ever since that day, I end every phone call with I love you. I don't care how hokey it sounds. And if I get a chance to be with you...I will take it. RIP Sis.

My daughter in law was going to Cleveland to visit her family, she missed a call, said she would see them in a week and her step father (who she adored) passed away before the planned visit.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - My heart goes out to her. I sadly know that feeling. And when it comes out of the blue...double tuff.
