This is not surprising, Google has their hand in everything now. In order to maintain history they have to record searches. when you delete search history it is on your local machine. Their database is presumably untouched as you want limited access to any database. Thanks as always for the post SGT (Join to see)

I like to tell others that many times what you "delete" is simply removed from your sight. Many big data companies have policies that state such data will be removed from their data center "within a short time", which is neither able to be proven or definite.
