I think almost anyone who served is "immune" to cursing. I had a First Sergeant who never once Swore at anyone. No Swear words. Not even darn, or dagnabbit. As he felt those were just replacement for real swear words...so the intent was the same.
So what he did was curse you. Literally. Things like: "May the fleas of a thousand camels infect the crotch of your first born." Or: "May all the ill will you have towards others gather in your heart until you, or your heart ...stop." And my favorite: "May you meet someone just like you, and he marries your daughter".
And one last one (this doesn't apply anymore because who reads newspapers!): "May the plastic wrapper tear, and your paper get so soggy, that the ink runs over your new table cloth."

LTC Matthew Schlosser - "I once told an incompetent officer in counseling him on his Officer Evaluation Report "part of my job is to protect the Army from people like you."
There were a couple butterballs I would have loved to say that too but being enlisted I knew I'd get office hours for insubordination to a superior commissioned officer.

I did once tell a butterball, "The UCMJ requires me to respect the rank but not necessarily the person wearing it, Sir!" He said he was going to write me up but nothing every happened.

Cpl Vic Burk - One goes from O-1 to O-3 so fast that I would never judge a lieutenant for his incompetence. You see, the difference between a second lieutenant and a lance corporal is that the lance corporal has been promoted...twice. Honestly, the Army, and I imagine the Marine Corps as well, doesn't need lieutenants. But imagine the carnage if officers had the authority of captains on day one! So I think of the existence of lieutenants as an apprenticeship program.

LTC Matthew Schlosser - LOL! An apprenticeship! Never thought of it that way but it makes sense.
