I am glad that the time limit waiver is in place. Honor, courage, and heroism do not have an expiration date.

I can't find the link I first read, but it gave a more detailed account of what he did chronologically and I have to tell you it was about as bad ass as you can get. Rescued numerous people under fire. Wounded multiple times. Refused a direct order to be evacuated by his PL because "...you are going to need me." He said. This goes multiple days. He volunteered to go with another Platoon because they lost their medic and they got bogged down in the sh*t. He took out an enemy RPG gunner with a grenade if I remember correctly. He was only evacuated after he collapsed from dehydration and exhaustion.
This isn't the link but it is a good description. https://www.army.mil/medalofhonor/mccloughan/
