To quote the article "A must-pass Homeland Security funding bill proposed by House Republicans on Tuesday includes $1.6 billion to fund the beginning of a border wall along the Mexican border that President Trump promised voters in 2016." FYI: The bill provides funding for a broad array of federal security programs, including aviation security, border and immigration enforcement, customs, cyberterrorism protection, drug smuggling prevention and natural disaster response.

When Trump makes good on his promises and the economy is doing well (despite every effort by Democrats to sabotage America's economic recovery), who in their right mind is going to vote for the corrupt party that tried to shred our Constitution and squandered $9+ Trillion almost doubling the National Debt with their out of.control spending?!!

In their Left mind, they prefer voting for a living to working for a living. It's the duty of the Right to support them -- because slavery... because they were born that way... because white guilt... because society didn't give them the good things they feel they are entitled to, and just because. Participation Awards for everyone! Woo hoo!
The Left wants equal outcomes for everyone at the finish line, regardless of the effort put in. The Right wants everyone equal at the starting line and where you finish is up to you.
The Left and Right today are polar opposites. You can't have Socialism without taking advantage of those who work hard. Ever time we have seen it in history, when the workers figure out that they can get the same thing without working as hard, their work slacks off and productivity drops. Why should they work hard for others when there is no benefit for doing so?!!
Today's Left has gone so far Left they are more socialist then free thinking. And the Right has moved left to fill the gap. Some are called RINOs because their voting record is indistinguishable from that of the once conservative Democrats, who used to embrace religion and freedom of speech. Now they are hostile to Christianity and want to suppress all speech that doesn't agree with their Progressive (read REGRESSIVE!) socialist agenda. My, we've certainly come a long way from what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our country.

What a waste of money! The wall will add virtually nothing to border security. We would do better to fund technology upgrades to ICE computer systems so we could better enforce existing law.

Nothing says you can't do both the wall and technology upgrades...and both of them are in the new budget as well as 500 new border patrol agents. I'm just hoping he will cut all the new IRS agents President Obama added to the system.

I'd like to see some evidence that there is some return on investment, here. I'd like to see some numbers that say a big border fence will actually increase security.
