There is no “fort/base branch manager.” There is a junior enlisted branch manager at HRC who fills vacancies within the Army. As a student straight out of AIT, unless it was expressly written in his enlistment contract, you and your husband will be going to needs of the Army! Congratulations.
There is an IET branch manager. They will give him his follow on assignment while he's in AIT
