SGT Philip Roncari I agree. the memories. The brotherhood was good and just about everything else was bad.

JTF Bravo in Honduras. Got to visit other Central and South American countries from there. Earned foreign jump wings. Got to go diving in the Gulf of Honduras (Utila). There were five clubs for only about five hundred soldiers and airmen. Cerveza was cold and cheap. Bimbo Bingo on Thursday nights!

Great place! I was there in MEDEL during 1999 after Hurricane Mitch. Was TDY from the 82d so I was able to jump as well. Several trips to Utila to dive. Spent more $ on dives than transportation, lodging, food and drinks combined. Very unique environment with unit day rooms.

Loved it. I was there from Nov. 2000 till Apr 01. Got a lot of training I never would have with my MOS.

All three of mine are special in their own way. My second deployment was with 4BCT 101st, 506th Infantry Regiment. Like our WWII brothers, we were out numbered and holding the line no matter what. Our line was holding the line in Afghanistan while the surge got everything in Iraq. My first deployment was OIF 1 as the war started in 2003. I was the company commander for TMDE, the first combat deployment of the majority of the unit since ODS. Up until then we deployed a team or two at a time. My last was actually with NATO which makes it different right there.
