Oddly enough the only officials willing to go on record say this article was inaccurate and then went on to say the article basically put people st risk... way to go CNN you have another Pulitzer Prize on your hands, not.

SFC (Join to see) - And you cannot (well you can, and given the history of support for this POTUS, probably will) deny what Trump has done. This isn't a child's game of, "well other people have done bad stuff too", it's the grown up game of "what is he accountable for."

As I said before, this isn't something that he is being judged for before the information is in. The information has been in on many of his actions for a very long time. That that point it is no longer pre-judging (which is what prejudice is), it is judging.

SPC Kevin Ford - "Again, the irony is lost that it's the ones who are complaining who are the ones revealing this supposed source," Mate wrote. "So there's a pattern here of intel leaks in order to: create a false link between Trump-Russia; to reveal supposed high-level Russian sources that advance the Russiagate narrative & then falsely blame Trump for these sources' supposed vulnerability."

As I have been trying to explain: you are listening to lies from hateful people and news organizations who only care about destroying President Trump. If you can think critically please read information and judge the truth before you take a side and start an argument, in this case you are taking a side that is tearing our country apart. I hope you find the right road my friend. PS: I wouldn't hold my breath until the recession starts.

SFC (Join to see) - Strange how quick people are to believe the "deep state" when it fits their narrative, but when the CIA tells them the Russians interfered with the election to get the candidate they wanted into office.....

So an unnamed official claims that an unnamed spy was extracted in a super secret operation that we will never know about because Trump talks too much about classified information.
There is no way to vet or verify one iota of this story.
Given the relationship some intelligence services have had with Trump vis a vis Russia, I can't take this report at face value without something to corroborate it.

Amendment -
Turns out that there is more to the story, Turns out the agent that was extracted was endangered due to Obama Administration leaks to the media (collusion!) when Trump wasn't President yet in 2016. Individuals like Brennan and Clapper - now CNN employees - talking to media people and leaking information in order to further what would become the two+ year collusion narrative. Given the sensitivity of the information, this points the finger pretty squarely at Brennan.
We don't know for sure who leaked the info that ultimately compromised the agent, but we do know who was manning the White House and Intelligence Services at the time.
And it ain't Trump.
All this from that bastion of Trump propaganda, the New York Times.

1SG (Join to see) - Sure would like to know where you read about Obama administration leaks to the media, but hey, it is your lie, tell it how you want. I guess you missed the part in the article you posted that states, "But the C.I.A. pressed again months later [after Trump was in office] after more media inquiries. This time, the informant agreed." Of course the informant agreed. Trump was escorting Russians right into the oval office without and security or diplomatic oversight.

And how easy it is to explain away all the Russian contacts by Trump and the Trump admin. The ones they lied about having, and then came clean when they could no longer sustain the lie... And no one sustains a lie longer than Trump.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - I guess there's no way to let facts get in your way.
Pretty clear that Brennan is your leaker, both to CNN and in 2016. Pretty good chance it was him in 2017 too.
Ain't no fucking Russians in the White House, guy. If there was and Trump was some kind of Manchurian candidate, the Russians would be on the march all over. Except they aren't. They are trying to extricate themselves from their Ukraine quagmire and cleaning up the mess from their high-speed weapons systems blowing up.

Don't you see? It is all bullshit. It was always bullshit. This story was bullshit.
Except this time, the bullshit story actually implicates the real leaker of classified materials - a guy who happens to be on CNN's payroll and has been all about telling everyone who would listen about how the Russians were coming to take over the elections. Even Obama said that was impossible. So one could reasonably conclude that this was a figment of a handful of IC officials' imagination.

I am no fan of Trump, and didn't vote for him. But this attempted coup is a danger to our republic. One I swore to defend and protect. We don't have to agree. I imagine you actually fervently believe what you believe to be true.

If it were all true, the Democrats would vote to impeach, and they would have the support of at least some Republicans. But they won't, because it isn't true. And if they really had decent ideas, Americans would vote for them. But they won't because they don't. Which means for more years of this gong show.
Every minute the left spends boxing at windmills for shit that won't happen is a minute that they are not spending articulating their vision for America. That is how they lose.

1SG (Join to see) - "pretty clear"... Guess that is what qualifies for "fact" in your book. Not surprising.

Are you saying Trump didn't host Russians in the White House? Seriously?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/trump-revealed-highly-classified-information-to-russian-foreign-minister-and-ambassador/2017/05/15/530c172a-3960-11e7-9e48-c4f199710b69_story.html

The Russians get to clean up their mess because they are on the march, rolling back decades old treaties and expanding influence with impunity. Just look what their influence campaign has done here at home, converting thousands of useful idiots to make excuses for them, issuing their denials, and aiding them in achieving their goals. People who once pledged to defend their country from foreign threats now make excuses for foreign dictators and the asshat in the White House that cavorts with them, talks about their love letters, while alienating our closets and most strategic allies with his stupid tweets and antics.

You are "no fan of Trump" my hairy.... Just like every other former Trump supporter who at one time backed him, you will start backing away now so that in time you can say you never liked him and never supported him. I see most of the Trump true believers here at RP starting to hedge their bets and couching their support with some claim of non-support or unwilling support .... while still rationalizing and justifying every stupid thing he did and entirely failing to see how unfit the orange idiot is for the job and how much he is influenced by a foreign adversary. When they can no longer argue the merits, they pivot to a deflection about Hillary or Obama, or whine about how their are no good candidates anymore. They are just poor victims of a bad process. In time Trump supporters will be as rare as those that will still own up to supporting GWB.

And no, Democrats won't have support of any Republicans for impeachment. There isn't a solitary spine left among the Republicans. Certainly no one with spine enough to own up to making a mistake or (gulp) being wrong. That capability no longer exists in the Republican party. Actual conservatives and any Republican with an ounce of integrity has already abandoned the ship... or got fired. All that is left are the partisans, the opportunists, and the hacks.

Also, you are not a very strong reader.
