Maybe it's because I'm retired and on semi-fixed income. This is way more hardware than is necessary to throw .22lr down range. This is where tactical and tacticool collide. It's My Opinion.

There are tons of accessories, furniture, and “farkle” available for firearms I wouldn’t spend my money on. Doesn’t mean someone else should’nt be allowed to spend theirs on it. A cool accessory is like a good price. If you’re happy, you got it.

You can also buy conversion kits that enable you to shoot .22 LR through a standard AR-platform rifle or pistol, but I'm not sure how well they work.

Depends on the manufacturer. I've tried several. Only found one that works dependably.
CMMG has been pretty good. Kimber makes a sub cal devices for 1911's that works very well.
