He's the guy who mentioned western Canadian provinces (Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon Territories) becoming the 51st - 55th. That issue wasn't even on the skyline. Now there is substantial support among the citizens of those provinces for 1st - Independence and 2nd - possible statehood. Alberta pursued and won the right to hold a referendum.

Is there something unlawful about encouraging the independent citizens of Greenland deciding they would like to become a US state. The Greenlanders have complaints against Denmark.
_From the 1960's through the 1990's fitted thousands of Greenlandic women (with unwanted IUD's because of concerns of overpopulation, primarily amongst the native Inuit people but also some young women with European heritage.)
_Denmark has required parenting competency tests and used them as justification for removing Greenlandic children from their homes and placing them on Danish homes in Denmark. permanently. The practice was "officially disavowed in 2024 but has continued well into 2025. Greenlandic parents failed the tests at six times the rate of Danish parents.
-Denmark has severely regulated the ability of the Greenlandic people to exploit their natural resources.

So, if the free and independent people of another country see the economic and social advantages of joining the US, what is your complaint?

Maj John Bell - 1. I don't believe Trump does anything if it does not benefit him in some manner.
2. The US is NOT some business that must "benefit" from whatever it does.
3. The larger the empire, the more power.

You are correct, we are not a business, however promoting the general welfare of US citizens is enshrined within the Constitution.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, ***promote the general Welfare, *** and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

It is right there in the Preamble to the Constitution "PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE." Would the peaceful acquisition of Greenland promote the general welfare? Yes or No?

3. Once again, you've offered a slogan, not a substantive argument. How does the peaceful acquisition of Greenland increase President Trump's personal power? Please be specific. If at all, doesn't any power the US gains from the peaceful acquisition of Greenland really go to the office as opposed to the individual?

Maj John Bell - John, you go ahead and post all that Trump propaganda you like. It won't change my opinion of that narcissistic, childish, egotistic, sex abuser, draft-dodger. He is exactly what the major problem with capitalism is, a poor little rich kid with daddy's money to protect him. Never had to work a day in his life.
I will celebrate greatly the day he leaves the White House.

Are my questions too difficult to address with substantive cogent answers?

What do you call work? Does only blue-collar work meet your standard? I've known some highly successful multi-millionaires. Not one of them "never had to work a day in their life." Most of them work 60+ hours per week. Some work more than 90 hours per week.

And capitalism is the single greatest system for increasing the standard of living of the people living in it.

Being "improper" is a joke in this administration and encouraged. Hopefully, it is illegal - however, if so how long is it likely to remain so during these times.
