President Trump misspoke, that's for damned sure. He does that a lot, doesn't he? What's interesting is that he isn't saying these things to justify tyranny, but rather to demonstrate self-restraint. It would be similar to me saying that I'm such a good guy, I'm not going to embarrass an NBA star by outscoring him in a dunking contest. (Throwing a ball through a hoop is not one of my talents, not by a long shot) What's funny is the manner in which the shills in the media (popular and news) jump all over such utterances. Aren't these the same people who applauded when President Obama bragged that he had a pen and a phone and would use them if Congress didn't do what he wanted?

SSgt Ray Stone - You forgot the bottom line: "And if they did, it still wasn't a crime."

That's the new standard - was it a crime? No? Then it was ok.

SSgt Ray Stone - He never said Obama played in the NBA. What he's saying is isn't ironic that Obama once touted that he would use his pen and phone to circumvent Congress because they weren't doing what he wanted them to do. CPT Jack Durish is absolutely correct in that the mainstream media applauded Obama at every turn while they continue bashing Trump over the same things. It's hypocrisy at its finest.

Someone says that about every president that comes along. They said it about Bush, Clinton, that Barack guy, and now Trump. Just like when I saw this response, I rolled my eyes and shook my head as people fear these absurd notions.

Oh, come on. Don't you have better things to do than post crap like this. When did President Trump say he was going to use his pen and phone (to dictate laws) if Congress didn't pass the legislation he wanted? When did President Trump usurp the just powers of state legislatures and dictate that criminals could vote. When did President Trump do anything remotely tyrannical as did Presidents Obama and Biden?

CPT Jack Durish - you mean like diverting funds from military families to build his wall (which didn't get built)? Or do you mean when Trump tried to usurp the powers of the states, counties, and cities who said that they wouldn't violate the law to hold people on an INS/ICE detainer? Trump did things that were more tyrannical, such as inciting an insurrection, or convincing a bunch of pigeons that he won the election. And why jump into a thread that is over a year old?

The funny part here is SSgt Ray Stone the party you likely support is pushing their voter base to the conservative side due to their radical behaviors and constant in-fighting.

SSgt Ray Stone - It is too obvious and painful for his ardent supporters to admit to being repeatedly duped by buying into his illusions of grandiosity.

CW2 Michael Bodnar Actually I would have voted for Kasich had he got the nomination. Trump is a vile human being and embarrassment. Your definition of a radical is calling out Trump's excessive lies and racism...then I'll be that. Thanks for the compliment
