There has to be common ground between the Ten Commandments and Common Sense which philosophers agree with. Even if it's not driven by Judaism and early Christianity, many of the stuff is common sense. It's reasons like this and you can have a Buddhist, a Catholic, and East Orthodox, a Muslim, a Hindu and even someone like an American Indian Medicine Man agree on stuff like this.

Which is also why real morality doesn't come from the Bible. All religions had comparable moral standards, many before the Judeo-Christian morality of the Bible.

Capt Gregory Prickett - I'm not trying to impose judeo-christian ethic belief system on a-believing group of people. And I'm right took a class 20 years ago about the common Bond that's different civilizations have. Like I said, common sense that most people can relate to that has nothing to do with the Bible but just with doing the right thing. I'm sure other non religious cultures have an issue with infidelity and breaking laws. I am sure Socrates, Plato and Aristotle discuss this that was separate from the mythology or religion at the time.

LTC (Join to see) - I believe that I'm agreeing with you. The common sense approach that you are speaking of crosses religious lines. It's fairly simple--I don't want to be killed or assaulted, or to have my stuff stolen, so I won't do that to other people. That's doing the right thing, without any biblical morality.
