I’m an E-7, 19 yrs and 5 months of service. I’m facing a Chapter 14-12c due to two Class E felonies of assault due to a drunken incident. The incident was driven by my PTSD. Before the incident occurred I completed the MEB portion for PTSD but didn’t start the PEB portion.
I know the CG will get both on his desk. Just curious if anyone’s faced this and what the outcome was?

I’m very curious of the outcome I’m facing something very similar “hit the wrong persons vape and now facing a 14-12c but my Medboard is already in the peb phase”

Do you know what the commander thinks in regards to retention? It would be good if he/she puts in a good word with you. By no means should you make excuses for what transpired. Tell the CG you had a good career and you made a mistake, you have PTSD, and humbly ask to get the chance to retire. Tell him you will need the VA to help you with your PTSD.

I have seen a young soldier with PTSD in the MEB process get a DUI. Apparently the CG had compassion and did not chapter him out.
