Why are there not more women following the Women In the Military Link?

I think SN Wright provides the best answer.
Personally, I follow but tend not to contribute. The topic gets me fired up and I don't want to spew unprofessional hatred towards those I perceive as mysoginistic. Frankly, I don't read too deeply into the conversations either. When the "thems" and "theys" start flying, I've seen that many so-called leaders believe that my inability to perform X number of push/pull-ups somehow makes my honerable service less so than a male counterpart. #realtalk

Exactly. The gender ratio in the military is also skewed heavily towards males. The Women in the Military group actually over indexes in terms of male:female ratio

SSG Carlos Madden - About 15% female service wide. 20~% (Female) USAF (highest), 7% USMC (lowest). Last I checked. It get's really wonky when you look at "career level" force though (drops like a stone on enlisted side, stays fairly consistent officer side).

I'm sure there are still some people who do not have enough tact not to use this site as source for dating. Some of the women may not know it's there or they avoid it to prevent unwanted attention.
